My wife and I had just finished doing some spring yardwork before we started getting nailed by dime-sized hail. Nothing odd about that, hail can come down in July or August... but then it turned into a full snowstorm for five minutes. Temps dropped suddenly and winds went wild. It was bizarre to say the least. My father even called from a golf course where he was hiding under a tree in his shorts freezing and wondered if he might get a ride back to the clubhouse. Why do people live up here in the mountains?
