Winter Storm Warning!

"screw that, I'm going back to bed" 2007

I took that last fall shot just in time. This is the news I wake up to today. Whoohooo! And luckily, as the warning suggests, I did bring a flashlight, food, and water in my car to work today ;) Oh, and the obnoxious ALL CAPS was done by the National Weather Service, not me.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR THE ADIRONDACKS OF NORTHERN NEW YORK... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 2 PM EDT WEDNESDAY.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES ARE EXPECTED... WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS NEAR A FOOT... BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN AS RAIN... MIXING WITH AND CHANGING OVER TO ALL SNOW BY MID AFTERNOON.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL... KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT... FOOD... AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
